Do I need to be an avid cyclist to enjoy a bike tour?

Absolutely not. From beginners to everyday riders, this is your holiday and it happens at your pace.

What's included?

Do you provide maps / suggested routes ?

Barossa Bike Hire provides the latest maps and suggested bike routes/trails. You can see what’s included in our cycle hire package on our Rentals Page.

Does Barossa Bike Hire offer guided cycle tours?

Yes we do.  We can either put together a Guided Cycle Tour for your group or you can join us on the Barista, Brewer, Wine Cycle Tour which runs every Wed – Thu – Fri – Sat (other days available by prior notice). We will also be launching more Guided Cycle Tour options over the coming months. Keep an eye on our Tours Page for details.

Payment

Are there any extra fees that I will have to pay on top of the listed price?

No, we do not charge any extra fees. The listed price is the only price you pay.

Should I print a receipt to show the tour guide?

No. We understand that you may not have a printer handy when you’re traveling so it is not necessary to have a printed copy. However, we do require some form of ID matching your reservation when you arrive.

How much does it cost to do a cycle tour?

We have a number of tour options available which can be Booked Online or we can create something specific to your requirements.  Please contact us and we’ll work with you on pricing a personalised tour experience.

Preparation

What should I wear?

Wear whatever is comfortable. It is a good idea to dress in layers so you can stay at a comfortable temperature along the way and we would recommend closed shoes but this is not necessary.

What do I need to bring?

Not much …. remember our trips are all inclusive. We provide all helmets, locks, maps , backpacks as part of your hire fee and some of our bikes are fitted with baskets and front packs to carry any purchases you may make along the way.

Do I have to make a booking or can I just show up?

No, you don’t have to make a booking online.

Booking Online, however, will confirm your bike hire and captures all the relevant information we require to ensure correct size bikes, equipment and special requirements are catered for.

We highly recommend Booking Online to avoid disappointment.

What about the weather?

We do understand that the weather is unpredictable and we will try to work your booking around this where possible, although sometimes this is out of our control.

We recommend clicking on the local weather link when planning your tour.
